Junior motocross rider secures partner for World Championships. RoadCraft is delighted to announce its partnership with New Zealand junior motocross rider Brandon Tipene.
RoadCraft will become a core member of Brandon’s family of sponsors as he builds towards the 2009 RoadCraft FIM Junior Motocross World Championships in Taupo, New Zealand on August 15-16, 2009. The 13 year old North Harbour teenager is no stranger to success having secured 1st place in the 11-12 years' class at 2008 nationals and 1st at the Woodville GP in 2008. Brandon will be competing in the 85cc class at the championships and hopes his showing on a national level will be a solid platform as he presses for higher honours on the international stage.
RoadCraft, New Zealand designers and manufacturers of Overland Camping Vehicles (OCVs), is proud to support Brandon’s dream and sees its OCV range as the perfect support vehicle for aspiring motocross riders and their families. Marketing Manager Gray Borrell says “RoadCraft has always had a strong focus on performance and adventure. We’re excited to be able to reward the dedication and hard work Brandon has shown and he has our unconditional support as he competes at the highest level.” Brandon is part of a 24 strong New Zealand team who come August 16th will be taking on the best junior motocross riders in the world.
The challenge of competing on the international stage is a huge motivation for Brandon, “It’s exciting to be named in the New Zealand team and it’s a real big deal to be riding against all the top riders” says Brandon. The 2009 RoadCraft FIM Junior Motocross World Championships will feature up to 120 of the world’s best junior riders – it is the first time the event has left European shores and is considered a real coup for New Zealand and Taupo to have secured an event of this prestige. Entry on Saturday 15th August is free for all spectators and tickets are available at the gate on Sunday 16th August for $15 for adults and $10 for a child. Children under 5 are free.
